SUMMARY:5 day UK Tour
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand… It’s another opportunity to join our intrepid aviators as we again take to the air for another EPIC UK Tour! \nThis 5 day trip circumnavigates the British Isles taking a coastal route. Departing from Elstree on day one we head south to Isle of Wight then west making Cornwall our first stop. Day two we head north to Wales including the Mach Loop and of course Snowdon. Day three sees us sightseeing the north west coast\, following a historic railway through The Lake District and into Cumbria. Day four is our most ambitious of all as we venture to The Highlands! We scale Ben Nevis\, search for Nessie in The Lochs and fly along the West coast of Scotland and back across the border. On the last day its seaside central as we follow the east coast all the way down to Felixstowe before heading west again and back up to Elstree.  \nSuitable for all from seasoned flyer to PPL student (each heli will have an instructor on board) and you will typically fly 4-5 hours a day. We will be taking some well deserved R&R each night at the UK’s finest country house hotels with incredible stops in between; both for fuel\, food and fun!  \nInterested? DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 15th March we are doing a second trip to one of our favourite destinations… Le Touquet! What better way to enjoy the Spring than with a hop across the channel to France. \n\n\n\nLe Touquet is a popular destination with PPL holders and students as the trip provides some incredible opportunities to hone your piloting skills; planning\, navigation\, radio\, crossing water and the list goes on. \n\n\n\nIf you’ve not been to Le Touquet before it’s located at the northern tip of France meaning it is easily accessible from the UK with some fabulous views along the way. The airport is only a short bike ride from the town (taxis are available) where you’ll find a beautiful beach and plenty of restaurants and shops. SUMMARY:Student Trip to Heli Museum Weston-Super-Mare Winter 2022
DESCRIPTION:This is a REAL ROTORHEAD trip! The Helicopter Museum is the largest dedicated Helicopter Collection in the world with over 100 helicopters on display. Exhibits include two of the Queen’s Royal Flight helicopters\, the current world speed record holder G-LYNX\, a Vietnam Veteran Huey and a Russian Hind Gun Ship. \nOut of Elstree SW towards Marlow and Henley upon Thames continuing westbound over Reading and through RAF Benson MATZ turning at Newbury Racecourse\, over Devizes remaining south of Bristol and to fly over one UK’s famous geographical landmark Cheddar Gorge! From there it’s NW to Weston Super Mare and the Heli Museum where we will be marshalled on to their substantial helipad by their band of volunteer ground handlers.  Lunch at the Cafe\, tour the museum and visit the restored WWII Pilots Block and Weston Aviation Exhibition detailing Weston’s aviation history. \nIf you are currently learning to fly our student trips are great practise for navigation\, straight and level flight and radio work as well of course as being jolly good fun! SUMMARY:Student Trip to Lake District Summer 2021
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a mini flying adventure? Why not join us for our 2-Day trip to The Lakes. Starting early on Wednesday we fly north through Luton Zone to Northampton\, Althorp routing between Birmingham and East Midlands. On to Alton Towers via Jodrell Bank where we great a fabulous view of the Lovell Telescope. Through the Manchester CTR\, Haydock Race Course and Blackpool to refuel. Following the coastline to Morecambe Bay and then The Lakes! We stop for a spot of ‘afternoon tea’ at Storrs Hall Hotel\, situated on the edge of Lake Windermere. After touring The Lakes; Coniston Water\, Derwent Water\, Ullswater etc. Flying the Cumbrian mountains; Scafell Pike among others. we fly to Warwick Hall Hotel for food\, after dinner planning for day two and of course a well earned sleep. In the morning we will head to Carlisle Airport to refuel\, head south following the Carlisle to Settle Railway line through the stunning Yorkshire Dales and see the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. From The Dales to The Pennines and on to Sheffield then Nottingham City Airport for lunch. Then it’s time to homeward bound via Milbrook Test Circuit\, Sywell Aerodrome\, transit through Luton again to Elstree. \nWhere we stay Warwick Hall \nAfternoon Tea Storrs Hall Hotel \nIf you are currently learning to fly our student trips are great practise for navigation\, straight and level flight and radio work as well of course as being jolly good fun! Landing at Rock we then transfer to the ferry by golf buggy before we head into Padstow for a well earned pasty and/or cream tea. SUMMARY:Student Trip to Caernarfon via Lake Vyrnwy Summer 2021
DESCRIPTION:WEEKEND TRIP! An early start for a Saturday we depart Elstree initially Westbound via Bovingdon and turn right at Chequers changing our heading to North Westbound for Wales. We fly over Bicester and Weston on the Green\, landmark spotting; Chateau Impney and Shrewsbury Hills and Lake Vyrnwy. We circumnavigate the reservoir and continue North for some mountaineering as we ‘climb’ Mt. Snowden! After we reach the summit we descend into Caernarfon Airport for fuel and lunch at The Caffi HEMS Cafe. Once suitably refreshed\, we head South via the Magnificent Mach Loop before back retracing our steps to back home to Elstree.  \nIf you are currently learning to fly our student trips are great practise for navigation\, straight and level flight and radio work as well of course as being jolly good fun! DESCRIPTION:What better begin to our Summer selection than a trip to the seaside! Departing Elstree (bucket and spade optional)\, we head southbound through City Airport and the Isle of Dogs then follow The Thames out via the estuary and along the Essex and Suffolk coastline to Felixstowe then inland to Cromer Airfield. Time to hop in a taxi and to the sea! Of course no trip to the seaside would be  complete without Fish and Chips followed by an ice-cream on the pier. DESCRIPTION:The Isle of Wight is definitely one of our top trips. Join us for this ‘island hopping’ experience\, transiting through London zones southbound to Portsmouth\, we leave the mainland and fly across the Solent to IOW. This is a superb introduction to flying over water and great for advanced training. During the trip we’ll have the opportunity to circumnavigate this beautiful English Isle not forgetting of course the take in the famous Needles. DESCRIPTION:Fly with us to this super Suffolk sanctuary. Our first visit was back in 2015 and has since become a bit of a favourite with self fly hirers as a lunch destination with friends or family. Great route options either along the south east coast or cross country with of course the added bonus of the Farm/Wildlife Park to enjoy when you arrive!
