Pre-bookings are required and subject to availability on a ‘first come, first served’ basis so please do not leave your booking to the last minute as the voucher is to be used ‘by’ the expiration date. Trial Lessons, Experiences, Vouchers and gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase (unless otherwise stated) and are non-transferable or refundable.

Elstree Helicopters require a notice period of 7 days for rescheduling otherwise vouchers will be considered used.

Once an experience or lesson has been booked cancellations will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Elstree Helicopters

Elstree Helicopters make every effort to accommodate anyone with a disability wishing to fly a helicopter – please contact our team to discuss prior to purchase.

Upon booking, a customer may receive a confirmation up to 72 hours prior to their lesson, please note, this needs to be read and printed out. There are specific instructions to follow on flying days to ensure lessons are going ahead.

Elstree Helicopters cannot be responsible for anyone not following such instructions.

Lessons may include start-up, shutdown, taking-off and landing. The lesson flight duration is subject to Air Traffic Control and weather conditions therefore they are approximate in length.

 All lessons are subject to availability at time of booking.

 If a particular date is required and is not available this is not grounds for a refund.

Weekend flights are restricted to a minimum of 30 minutes running time (by Elstree Aerodrome), shorter flights can be upgraded to meet this minimum time criteria

Elstree Helicopters reserves the right to postpone any lesson in the event of poor weather, Air Traffic restrictions, circumstances beyond their control or other safety related issue.

When making a booking you will be given an arrival time (this will be different to your actual lesson time) and we respectfully request you arrive on time, if you are 30 minutes late or more we cannot guarantee you will have a lesson as we operate and run extremely tight flying schedules.

 Vouchers are subject to height and weight restrictions which are strictly applied for safety reasons (see top of page). Please check the height and weight of the recipient before purchase.

Sorry but we will have to ask details of an individual’s height and weight must be submitted prior to flying , so please do not be offended. Elstree Helicopters reserves the right to check individual’s height and weight if in any doubt.

A good understanding of and ability to speak English is essential to flight safety, therefore our staff and instructors reserve the right to refuse offering you any of the controls if they feel you do not fully understand the instructions given by them and this may terminate your lesson.

Please ensure you have not consumed any alcohol for at least 24 hours before your lesson. If we suspect you have, then we reserve the right to refuse you on board the aircraft.
