Looking for a mini flying adventure? Why not join us for our 2-Day trip to The Lakes. Starting early on Wednesday we fly north through Luton Zone to Northampton, Althorp routing between Birmingham and East Midlands. On to Alton Towers via Jodrell Bank where we great a fabulous view of the Lovell Telescope. Through the Manchester CTR, Haydock Race Course and Blackpool to refuel. Following the coastline to Morecambe Bay and then The Lakes! We stop for a spot of ‘afternoon tea’ at Storrs Hall Hotel, situated on the edge of Lake Windermere. After touring The Lakes; Coniston Water, Derwent Water, Ullswater etc. Flying the Cumbrian mountains; Scafell Pike among others. we fly to Warwick Hall Hotel for food, after dinner planning for day two and of course a well earned sleep. In the morning we will head to Carlisle Airport to refuel, head south following the Carlisle to Settle Railway line through the stunning Yorkshire Dales and see the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. From The Dales to The Pennines and on to Sheffield then Nottingham City Airport for lunch. Then it’s time to homeward bound via Milbrook Test Circuit, Sywell Aerodrome, transit through Luton again to Elstree.

If you are currently learning to fly our student trips are great practise for navigation, straight and level flight and radio work as well of course as being jolly good fun! Already passed? These trips are a great excuse to use your PPL, hone your skills, hour build or just spend time with other pilots. Aircraft owners are also welcome to join us, the more the merrier!
