Virtual Ground School – Human Performance & Limitations

6 July 2021 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

We hope you enjoy our QUIZ NIGHT! Both teams pitted their wits against Capt. White’s (rather tricky this time) PPL questions. Team EN-GER-LAND fought valiantly scoring the number of players on the pitch 22/31 but were out classed by the very inappropriately named opposition GROSSLY UNDERPREPARED who scored a back of the net tastic 30/31. Thanks to all our players (pilots, students or other) and of course our referee/quiz master.

This week Tuesday 6th July we will be looking at Human Performance & Limitations at the usual time 18:00 – 20:00

Human error is cited as a major cause in over 70% of accidents, and it is widely agreed that a better understanding of human capabilities and limitations – both physical and psychological – would help reduce human error and improve flight safety.

This time among others we will be exploring whether seeing really is believing, Human Balance Mechanism, Spatial Disorientation, Hypoxia, Hyperventilation and a check that every pilot should use before flight to verify they are actually fit to fly… the IMSAFE rule.

Meet at the flying school or in our Virtual Crew Room via ‘ZOOM’ from 6pm, RSVP and you will receive an invitation link from Capt. White to the meeting.

First time? Everyone is welcome at ground school. It’s an informal gathering of both students, pilots and some who are yet to begin their flying journey. Escape into our virtual crew room or join us at the flying school and enjoy a couple of hours of pilot chat!

If you are not already on our ground school mailing list please RSVP via email training@elstreehelicopters.co.uk
