“I was slightly nervous about doing my first solo as I was made aware I might be doing it on the day of the lesson, however, thanks to all the instructors I felt prepared. When I first took off, the helicopter definitely felt a bit different but it was nothing out of the ordinary in terms of the controls. By the time I got downwind I had practically forgotten I was solo as I just focused on doing my checks. After I finally landed, I thought about my solo and realised that it was really the exact same as every other circuit I have done.” – Alek Miltchin
