We hope you enjoyed last week’s Operational Procedures Ground School was great to have Karl involved and was useful to get an insight of operations from the other side of the runway! Next up it’s Principles of Flight on Tuesday 16th February from 18:00-20:00 LIVE from the flying school.

Here comes the SCIENCE bit – Concentrate 😊 We will explore the fundamentals of helicopter flight physics, starting from the basics of the main rotor aerodynamics, Bernoulli Principle and flight control. Obviously we can’t miss out our POF favourites; Vector force on rotors, Vortex ring including the ‘Vuichard Technique’ and Flat Back! We will also look at ground effect, autorotation and stability.

As usual we will meet in our Virtual Crew Room via ‘ZOOM’ (see below for details). Please RSVP (details below) and Capt. White will send you the meeting link. Bring your pancakes and a thirst for knowledge!
