FREE Ground School – Radio Telephony
Elstree Helicopters Elstree Helicopters, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, United KingdomThank you to all those who joined us for Flight Performance and Planning, was great to dig a little deeper into weight and balance and to virtually fly with Sophie again! On Tuesday 22nd November we will be holding another special edition of ground school - RT Masterclass from 18:00 and we are again lucky to have our friendlyRadio Guru and RT Oral Examiner Capt Helena Hughes joining us to guide us through all the dos and don'ts of Radio Telephony and the RT Exam.
Sounding competent when using the radio is an essential part of flying. Often students can be nervous when making a call to ATC (Air Traffic Control) but with training and plenty of practice you'll be reciting your callsign in your in your sleep... The main aim of this session will be to take you step by step through a mock RT exam, with plenty of hints and tips along the way. There will also be an opportunity for pilots post PPL to ask any questions they have too!
